Planting for a Greener Future
Miss Earth Cayman Islands Partners with Caribbean Blooms & EarthDay.Org to Promote Sustainability
This effort aims to empower individuals to contribute to a greener planet, one seed at a time.
As part of our Miss Earth Coronation & Reveal Event, we will distribute 100 native plant seeds, generously sponsored by Caribbean Blooms, to attendees. These include Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus) and Salvia caymanensis, a Cayman endemic, drought-resistant species that plays a vital role in supporting local biodiversity. By distributing and planting drought-resistant, native species, we encourage sustainable landscaping and habitat restoration that benefits local wildlife, conserves water, and enhances the beauty of our islands.
Keep Cayman Clean
Miss Earth Cayman Islands joins forces for Earth Day beach cleanup in partnership with EarthDay.Org & Plastic Free Cayman
This initiative is more than just a cleanup—it’s a call to action for all Caymanians to protect our beautiful islands and the world’s oceans from the growing threat of plastic pollution.
The Cayman Islands are the gem of the Caribbean, known for our crystal-clear waters, lush marine life, and vibrant coral reefs. Keeping our beaches clean isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about preserving the very foundation of our environment, tourism, and way of life.
We invite everyone to take a stand by signing the Earth Day Pledge or the 345Pledge—a commitment to making small, impactful changes to reduce plastic waste and protect our oceans.
